Gratia Churchill has been interested in Yoga and Bodywork since visiting India in her late teens, and completed her first teacher training in 1999 in the Sivananda style.

After the birth of her first child in 1998, Gratia experienced the therapeutic benefits of yoga as a means to heal, rejuvenate and help manage the challenges of bringing up her child with special needs for herself as well as seeing the positive effects of baby yoga on her child. This led her to study and subsequently teach mother and baby yoga and Yoga for the Special Child.

Since then Gratia has continued studying and practising many styles of yoga from Scaravelli to yin yoga, teaching a blend of styles depending on what’s most needed by the groups she's teaching.

In 2008 after completing Zenways yoga training she delved into Yoga Nidra, a deep relaxation technique which reaps many benefits, helping the Mind, Body and Spirit to re-balance bringing about a deep sense of peace and rejuvenation. She has taught several Yoga Nidra workshops in Brighton and Boston USA over the last 5 years and is passionate about sharing the technique.

Gratia is also a qualified massage therapist, Baby massage Instructor and Relax Kids teacher.

She has had 3 children and lives in Brighton, teaching yoga at Sussex University and from home. She is also a Zumba teacher working with teenagers with Autism and ADHD.
